(02) — Philosophy

The body keeps an honest record — of posture, of stress, of every long drive and restless night. Our work is to read it closely, and gently rewrite it.

(07) — Questions

Before youarrive.

What to expect, how it feels, and the practical details — answered plainly.

While Swedish and deep tissue massage focus primarily on relaxing muscle tissue and soothing localized soreness, Structural Integration (developed by Dr. Ida Rolf) addresses the body's entire myofascial connective tissue matrix in relationship to gravity. It systematically lengthens, unwinds, and realigns structural holding patterns throughout your body to restore posture, improve movement biomechanics, and create lasting, root-cause relief from chronic pain.

We begin with a brief consultation discussing your movement habits, health history, and specific areas of tension or limitation, followed by a standing posture and gait assessment. During the hands-on session, David applies slow, precise, deliberate pressure to release fascial adhesions and restore tissue glide. Communication is encouraged throughout to ensure pressure remains within your comfort zone. Afterward, we reassess your posture—most clients immediately notice feeling taller, lighter, and more grounded.

We require at least 24 hours advance notice for all appointment cancellations or rescheduling. This allows us time to offer open slots to clients on our waiting list. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or missed appointments may be subject to a fee. If you need to adjust your time, you can do so through your MassageBook account or by contacting us directly.

Our clinical philosophy centers on collaborating with your nervous system—never forcing through tissue barriers. While deep tissue work and fascial manipulation can be intense and evoke a distinct sensation of release (often referred to as a "productive" or "good hurt"), it should never feel sharp, bruising, or unbearable. David checks in regularly, tailoring pressure so you can comfortably breathe and relax into every stroke.

Many clients experience marked tension relief and enhanced range of motion after just one session. For persistent posture imbalances, long-standing sports injuries, or chronic discomfort, a series of Structural Integration sessions is recommended to progressively reorganize fascial layers. To sustain mobility, many clients choose our monthly wellness memberships.

We do not bill health insurance companies directly. However, Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) debit cards are accepted for therapeutic bodywork. We can also provide an itemized receipt with the necessary practitioner licensing and treatment information for you to submit to your insurance carrier for potential reimbursement.
